For anyone of you, who used to play Runescape a couple of years back, you will likely don’t forget the wildness, it covered the whole north side of Runescape, included 50 distinct amounts of wildness and truly was the heart and sole of Runescape, so what happened? When is it returning? Why is it returning? Are Jagex acknowledging they made a blunder?
It is easy to determine just why Jagex removed the wildness from Runescape, how many individuals they’d real world trading (RWT) and making money from their game was amazing before they blocked free runescape gold trade and removed the wildness, seriously very few people can recall how awful gold farming on Runescape was, you used to see 40 people cutting yews every world, all of them not talking, clearly selling the gold.
So Jagex repaired the real world commerce problem, but destroyed the game, of course Jagex is an enormous business, they do not actually require any notice of what the players need, what they love doing on the game, Jagex care about how much money they make, like any business, they need to live, nothing wrong with that.
Jagex ended up letting the users (Runescape Players) to vote on if they’d like the wildness and free runescape gold trade to return, as expected there are numerous votes from millions of Runescape players, new and old players, in fact quite a few men and women signed on only to vote! Ultimately a good move on enhancing their player base by Jagex, but what effects is this going to have about the game?
